Michael D'Antuono is the thinking man's artist. He first made an impact with his controversial painting “The Truth”. D’Antuono’s intent was to show by the diverse interpretations of the piece how we view things distorted through our political lens. It worked, the painting received international press. Michael recently took aim at our energy dependence with an installation in Washington Square Park. In the seventies he studied in New York and Paris. As an art director he created national advertising campaigns that have lasted as long as 20 years. As an illustrator, his work has appeared in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post and are proudly displayed in Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's collection. As a fine artist D'Antuono doesn't always dwell on social issues. He sometimes paints lighter romantic fare with a bit of a film noir edge.
